The account
We use a Premium account on a monthly plan, billed in euros. The interface was switched to English for the screenshots of the English pages. The coin balance is written down before and after every paid action; on 20 October 2026 it went from 1,036 to 841 coins over a day of tests, and the coin guide lists what each of those actions cost.
What we measure
- Prices. Read in the plan window (monthly and yearly tabs) and on the Buy Dreamcoins page. The help center's dollar prices are quoted next to them.
- Coin costs. From the help center article on costs, checked against our balance for what we did ourselves: pictures, a video, a new character, read aloud.
- Settings. Every panel of the chat and of the generator, opened and noted, with a screenshot.
- Characters. For each top, we pulled the Explore lists, filtered them, and sent two short, neutral messages to every character kept, then read the replies.
The filter for the tops
The most popular characters on OurDream have explicit titles, which is why lists such as our picks for a first chat are filtered by hand. We leave out any character whose title or premise is explicit, any family storyline, any character shown as younger than 20, any non-consent, cheating or blackmail plot, and creators with explicit handles. A second pass by eye removes cover images that are too suggestive; the character then gets an illustration we generated with a clothed prompt, or no image.
Screenshots
Before each capture, a script hides our e-mail address and blurs every character picture we have not checked ourselves. Screenshots are taken in English at double resolution, then saved as WebP for the web; the newest set dates from 21 October 2026.
What we do not do
- No purchase through a test, no publication on OurDream: no public character, no comment, no like.
- No invented experience: when we did not try something, the page says so.
- No explicit picture or text on this site.
